Funny Pages.
I slowly started getting back into comics 7 months ago. I used to be a fanatic in my younger teen years. Washing cars, picking up after the dogs at my grandparents house, cutting the grass not eating lunch at school and the like to have money to buy comics, Manga and Anime related goods. As I got older, I got tired of all the gimmicks that comics were going through, the foil covers, hologram covers, multiple variant covers, deaths of super heroes and their eventual comebacks. (I'm looking at you DC/Superman) Steel (That spawned that horrible movie)/Superboy/Cyborg Superman/Eradicator I fell for it, hook line and sinker although we all new Supes would be back. A lot of other people fell for it too, and one could find a plethora of comic book shops around selling the top books. The bubble burst, which was lame. I would spend all that money at Mile High Comics in Anaheim at the original location closer to the 5 until the land was sold for an electrical plant to be built. Nevertheless I grew older, turned my attention to Manga/Anime, because I felt their stories and art were stronger and didn't use gimmicks to further the storyline. If a fucker died, he stayed dead. As sad as that could be to a fan, they stuck to their guns and that struck a chord with me. Blackest Night from DC got me back in. My friend Isaac who I met on my Japan trip was talking about it on Facebook,so I made a trip to Metropolis Comics in Bellflower and started on Blackest Night. I wasn't really a big Green Lantern person; I just liked Guy Gardner, cause he's a cocky ass and he does things his way, which isn't what the Lanterns are about (He got his own series too in Green Lantern: Emerald Warriors) The covers for most of them are great. Not that I only buy them for the covers. I'm not going crazy buying every issue of everything like I used to, because they're more expensive than they were when I was a kid. "I paid a dollar for issues of Batman in my day!! With no tax no less!!" It's nice to read comics besides novels and text books, hahaha!! I want to keep up with Spider-man, because he's my favourite Super-Hero, but it's hard to when it is published 3 times a month!! Come on Marvel!! I applaud DC for lowering their regular books to 2.99 while Marvel decided to add a .1 to their books and sell that in a self-contained story that doesn't effect the regular numbered books. Dumb, I think. I started reading Marvels Summer Crossover to review in the future. Like I said I'm not really for these gimmicks because the writers screw things up and months later it's back to how things were or not and if not; it is not usually the consequences are horrible. Civil War- Death of Cap? Come on!! I'm just going to keep this hobby under control. I want to find some great indie stuff. I had get this cover a call back to the Fantastic Four #348 issue. I said enough for this blog and not enough about comics. Hahaha!

Gag!! (Not what you think it is) Pervs!
Just here drinking a White Russian that I made way too strong. I wanted to use this milk we had that should have been drunk on the 18th, although I never do this, but I wanted a damn White Russian! I am very picky when it comes to day old milk, and bread! So I'm doing pretty well right now. I have been known to gag on bread and spit it out and almost throw it up if my mind convinces me that it's old. So annoying! The birds get fed well here because we rarely finish all the bread in the house. I hate that we waste food while others starve elsewhere. I was kinda reluctant to post this picture, because it looks like a tall cold glass of ice cold jizz. I assure you it's not, hahhahah!! Peace out!

Hollywood Forever Cemetery Dia de los muertos. 2008.
Hollywood Forever Cemetery
I have been going here since 2005. It gets pretty crowded, and finding parking can be a pain in the butt, but it always has great photo opportunities!! In the past it was free or a donation but this year they started charging 5 dollars for entrance. Still not too bad for a few hours of spooktacular fun!
Dancing.
